Hey guys! Let’s dive into this—are solvers taking the heart out of poker? No doubt they’ve raised the level of strategy, but it feels like the game’s becoming more mechanical. It’s all about following charts these days, with players relying more on data than their instincts. What’s your take on this?

I see your point, but solvers are just tools. They don’t play the game for you—they teach you the best baseline. The real art is knowing when to deviate. If you’re blindly following solver outputs, you’re beatable. The edge comes from balancing GTO with exploiting your opponents.

Exactly. Solvers aren’t killing the art 💯 they’re raising the bar. Back in the day, people thought intuition was everything. Now we’ve got data to back up good decisions. If anything, it’s making poker even deeper. But yeah, the guys who just regurgitate GTO ranges without reading the table? Easy pickings😈😈😈

I’ll admit, I hate how solver-heavy online games have become 😤. Everyone’s running like six HUDs and memorizing ranges 🤖📊. In live poker, though, it’s a whole different game you can’t rely on a solver to read someone’s body language or catch a tell 👀💬. That’s where the art of poker still thrives ✨🎨.

Fair, but doesn’t it feel like live players are at a disadvantage now? The solver grinders who jump into live games already have their ranges down cold. Meanwhile, live players are still making “feel” plays that get crushed against optimal strategies💔

True, but live games are softer because most people don’t care about GTO 🤷‍♂️. They’re just there to gamble, have fun 🎉, and play hands they “like” 🤪. That’s where exploitative play shines 🌟. If you know GTO and how to exploit those deviations, you’re basically printing money 💵 in live games!

Exactly. Solvers aren’t the end-all-be-all; they’re a foundation. Once you know the baseline, you can adjust for your player pool. Against regs, stick to GTO. Against recs, punish their mistakes. It’s about flexibility, not rigidity

But don’t you miss the old days? When poker was about personality—making crazy bluffs, trapping with monsters, tilting people into oblivion? Feels like solvers have made everything too sterile

I get that, but isn’t the beauty of poker its evolution? Back in the day, people thought 3-betting light was revolutionary. Now it’s standard. Solvers are just the next step in the game’s growth. The art isn’t dead—it’s just adapting

Look at the top pros—they’re not solver robots 🤖. Guys like Phil Ivey, Linus Loeliger, or Fedor Holz 🔥 use solvers, sure, but they crush because they know how to read people 👀, adapt to dynamics 🔄, and dominate the meta 🎯. That’s the real art of the game 🎨♠️
